Sponsors needed
Over ninety percent of the operating funding for the school comes from either gifts to the General Scholarship Fund or from direct sponsorships of students.  

Twenty-four dollars a month ($288 usd per year, 78.9¢ per day) will sponsor a child, giving them an excellent education, books and materials, uniforms, a hot meal each school day, and medical and dental care.  We encourage sponsors to correspond with their student.  We will pass on information concerning the student as it becomes available.

91.6 cents of every dollar provided for sponsoring a child goes directly to sponsor that child at their school.

Our General Scholarship fund provides for one time or regular gifts to help defray the costs of the unsponsored students attending the school.  Generation by generation, the school is impacting lives for Jesus Christ.  This is where we need you help.

Sponsoring a child is easy.  You can do it several ways.  Here on our website or over the phone by calling 419-335-8046.  You can either select your own child or we will assign one to you.  You can choose several different payment methods including auto-withdrawal. 

Please note if you are currently on one of our trips: we occasionally have teams that find children on the street and then ask us to get them in one of our schools so an individual or team can sponsor that child. We cannot do that.  Children need to go through the process set up by the individual school.  These schools have various requirements for entrance (that includes testing).  Solid Rock Missions does not have or want any influence in saying who can go to the school(s).  That is a Dominican decision that we respect.  If someone in your group would like to sponsor a child, they can do so through our website while they are there or once they return home.  Once they send the online registration, they can then go meet the child they have decided to sponsor.  Please respect this and please do not put pressure on us or the schools to bypass this request.

Now comes the hard part.  You can click on either school to see some of the many non-sponsored students in both schools or you can jump down to the online sponsorship form and let us chose a child for you.

All gifts to this program are 
tax deductible.  

As children go through some of the schools, they are able to obtain vocational training as well as their education during high school.  They then have the skills to be able to obtain jobs to help their families (if jobs can be found).  Others decide to go on to a higher education if they can find a way to fund it.  Solid Rock Missions does have a small General Scholarship Fund to help with this need.  Please click the Scholarship Info button to see more information about this program.
