Solid Rock Missions Personnel
Solid Rock Missions is people like you who are interested in furthering our mission statement.  This page highlights the people you are in contact with by e-mail or phone calls.  There are even pictures (which probably don't look like the people you imagined).

We have a small staff.  There are actually only two paid staff members in North America.  Our staff in the Dominican Republic is actually growing.  This whole group can be known as the "Dream Team".  In the past it has been a dream to have a team like this.  God honored the dream.  Please use this as a prayer reminder for the "Dream Team".

Rod Meyer serves as the Executive Director of Solid Rock Missions.    Rod has been a part of Solid Rock Missions for five years.  Rod's  primary responsibilities include overseeing the operations, promoting, recruiting and fundraising.  He also occasionally travels with teams to the Dominican Republic.  Rod is available for presentations or speaking engagements.  For more information, please contact him at rod@solidrockmissions.org.

Amanda Short is serving as Rod's Administrative Assistant.  She has served for a year as one of the English teachers at the CCED school in San Juan.   Amanda is the cheerful voice on the phone.  She works in a number of areas to help Rod, including the student sponsorship program, translating and working to prepare groups as they plan their trips to the Dominican Republic.  Her favorite part of her job is the occasional trips to the DR and using her Spanish.  You can e-mail Amanda at amanda@solidrockmissions.org.

Rod and Sandy Nofziger have been on staff at the guesthouse since January 1, 2004.  They had lived in Pettisville, OH all of their married life, and had been on many short term missions trips themselves.  During the two years prior to their decision to serve with Solid Rock Missions, they had an interesting chain of events that made it clear that God was asking them to make a life change.  After processing their decision with their family and close friend in their church, they sold their businesses and their home and made their way to San Juan de la Maguana.  They very much enjoy their role as guesthouse hosts, welcoming all the people who come to serve the Lord in the Dominican Republic.  During their trips back to the U.S. they share time with their four married children and eight grandchildren, Rod's mother as well as extended family and friends.  Rod and Sandy are thankful for the support and prayers of the many persons who have made it possible for them to carry out this ministry.  You can e-mail the Nofzigers at rsnof@solidrockmissions.org.

Jose Ramon and Yoselyn Rodriguez serve at the CCED school in San Juan.  Jose Ramon serves as the Director and Yoselyn is the principal (or as I like to tease her, she is the director of the director).  They have served there since the school was started in 1995.  Jose Ramon also serve as the pastor of the Prince of Peace Church in San Juan.  They are both very dedicated and excellent educators.  They have made the school a role model for schools in the Dominican Republic.  The school as been very effective not only in education but in providing social and spiritual change in the barrios it serves.  Their e-mail address is jramon77@yahoo.com.mx

Dr. Oswaldo Canario serves as the director of the CCSI Clinic in San Juan.  Canario was one of the founders of the clinic and has been involved with the vision of improved healthcare for the poor in the San Juan valley and in other areas along the Haitian border.  Delores is a cardiologist and she works in the clinic seeing patients.  They have three daughters.
